This is an important metaphor for those who spend a great deal of their time caring for and teaching others. If you don’t care for yourself, you can experience burnout, stress, fatigue, reduced mental effectiveness, healthy problems, anxiety, frustration, and problems sleeping.
Vanessa De Groot, will guide you through various activities that will help you identify and name your emotions because when we can “name it, we can tame it”; sensations and where they sit in our bodies; how to cope with those emotions in a healthy way. The tools she introduces you too can easily be adapted into your classroom setting and used with students of all ages.
Vanessa De Groot is a Registered Psychotherapist; author; artist; and founder of Kind-heARTed Studio, her private practice and art studio (Stratford, ON). Vanessa uses the creative process to enhance the communication process with her clients. Her professional practice helps women reconnect with their inner wisdom, find their voices, and use them.
